I am a Chicago area resident filling my time with painting, digital graphics and marketing, outdoor activities with my family, photography, and raising 2 young daughters. I grew up in La Grange Park outside Chicago, then went downstate to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study Architecture. I continued studying there for Graduate School, and after more than 6 years including 12 months in Europe, I returned to Chicago. My future wife, Jackie, and I decided to try something new, and after another year we moved West to Portland, Oregon.

Over the next 8 years we lived in 3 states, including the San Francisco Bay Area and Boise, Idaho, following Portland. After our first daughter was born we moved back to Chicago where we had our second daughter. I currently work in digital graphics and internet marketing for the fitness industry. I enjoy staying on the cutting edge of commerce and technology, and try to use this knowledge for my artistic pursuits too.

When not painting, I use my free time to take the family into the city where we explore every neighborhood Chicago has to offer, on hiking and biking excursions to the most exciting regions the Midwest has to offer, and going on roadtrips out West to inspiring destinations, usually desolate and extreme, and always visually exciting.
